What is it and what is it for?

Bisabolol or α-bisabolol, also known as levomenol, is a natural monocyclic sesquiterpene alcohol. It is the primary constituent of the essential oil of German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) and Myoporum crassifolium. It has been used for hundreds of years in cosmetics due to its regenerative, anti-inflammatory, bacteriostatic and soothing effects, which accelerate the healing processes of the skin and restore the sensation of skin well-being.
